A doll in every room!This is my page for my large doll collection. These are japanese collectors dolls in resin (strung with elastic) and vinyl (plactic joints). Volks makes both Super Dollfie and Dollfie Dream, while Smart Doll is another vinyl doll company based in Japan.

Lillia dropped out of school in year nine, when she developed diabetes and anxiety, and was homeschooled for the rest. She and Zoe were internet friends/pen-pals before attending the same university. She is an only child.
Zoe is a typical nerdy weeb. Very cheerful and full of energy, to the point of being a bit manic. She has one much older sister and one stepbrother.
Blair is a perfectionist, prone to stress around competitions and exams. Can get super angry and be a bit of a crybaby drama queen. Youngest of three sisters.
Carrie usually only goes by her surname, "Carter." The only person who uses her full name is Blair. The two are childhood friends and share a birthday. Very sporty, loves hocky, rowing and running. Middle child, with two brothers.
My four MDD girls live together in a dorm called Hana Hall, at Ellington Reach University. Their lore is inspired by slice-of-life and yuri manga.
They are all friends, but split into two pairings:
❤︎ Lillia & Zoe ❤︎ and ❤︎ Carter & Blair ❤︎.
I imagine them spending their days hanging out, studying, cooking and shopping.
In photoshoots, I try and bring out their imagined characters and develop their personal styles. Carter is more boyish and punky, in her fashion. Blair, more elegant and pretty, like a shojo heroine. Lillia and Zoe are close in their styles, but Zoe is more into pink and purple and alternative clothes.
I find it easiest to view my dollfie dreams as characters and connect with them, probably because they're so stylised, so they're the ones with the most lore.
The younger of the Loxley sisters. Ellie was a talented dancer growing up, but had to cut down due to numerous injuries, and the discovery/diagnosis of two chronic conditions, hEDS and POTS. Ellie still does gentle ballet on her good days. On her bad days, she reads and scrapbooks. She works in customer services part-time from home.
Harper is a former teen pop idol, turned indie musician. She teaches music to children part-time and writes and records her own songs at home. She plays violin and piano. She also runs a podcast with her best friend Lucas Knight, another former child star.
It's taken me a long time to settle on names and characters for my smart dolls and I'm still working on finding their styles. One barrier for me is that the classic smart doll proportions are super tall and skinny, so I find it hard to pick out outfits that look right. I'm now shifting more towards casual clothes, rather than cute costumes, to make them seem more real.
The Mallorys are a wealthy family of witches who live in an isolated, old-fasioned mountain town. Mallory likes reading, stargazing, and playing the violin. She is close with her cousin, Iris.
Iris is more playful and adventurous than her older cousin. She often takes the train out of town to the city, with her friends. She likes hiking and swimming and potion-making.
Holden is a character from a fantasy story I started a few years back, called The Gifted and The Cursed. He's orphan whose mother was a notoriously evil sorceress. He ran away from home to attend a magical university called Turnstone, against his stepmother's wishes.
My mother made his cape, based on the Volks Boys' Dormitory uniforms.
Super Dollfie dolls are very beautiful and all have very classic, elegant faceups. I usually dress my girls in hisorical-inspired outfits and classic and gothic lolita looks, which suit them well.
I'm very picky when it comes to resin, as I don't like dolls that are too white or too yellow. So, all my BJDs are tan. Iris is on a boy's body, as those are easier to come by.
